Vogue Kitchen - Binova

Binova proposes a new exploration of the relationship between the kitchen and other areas of the home, in a continuous intertwining of functions, habits, and everyday needs. Spaces are no longer limited by structural elements, becoming open, passageways where a true operational hierarchy no longer exists. This project thus defines the spirit of an open-plan home, unafraid to offer informal perspectives, where changing the perception of space is a value, not an extravagance. The central element around which the entire space revolves is the L-shaped column wall, composed of modules of varying depths joined together to form a single line connecting the kitchen to the living room, using the same elements—a continuum of fusion between form and function. Another striking feature of the columns are the openings that soften the impact of the wooden wall while simultaneously allowing the fronts to open and creating wonderful cones of light. The island with Vogue doors features vertical openings and an oxidized lacquer finish. Another innovative element is the fully cantilevered snack bar, creating a comfortable social area. The living area features the same finishes as the kitchen and is characterized by an intersection of volumes that allow for solids and voids with built-in folding compartments. The sideboard features Vogue doors and a thick stoneware top.
